The Ice Cooler Saves The Picnic Everytime
The ice cooler was years ago, only a large cumbersome Styrofoam container. Today, coolers are large heavy-duty insulated containers on wheels with extended pulling arms so they can more easily be moved. If not pulled along the ground, they are small enough to carry as a shoulder-carry insulated bag. These bags are soft and hard materials.
Naturally, because of their limited size, less ice and/or fewer items can be kept cool. The contents melt a little sooner as well, because the insulation is less effective in the coolers made of softer material. Soft-sided cooler bags are constructed to be leak-proof in case the ice begins to melt.
Soft-sided coolers are made to carry as much as 12 to 50 16-ounce cans of drinks. Many of these soft bags are also collapsible to easy storage when not in use. Most have single layered storage, but some offer double-decker storage.
