If you are planning a dinner party, the biggest concern any host is going to have is what type of food to serve their guests. What is the best approach when it comes to dinner party food? Well, there are a couple of things a discerning host or hostess will want to consider before planning the meal.
First, how many guests are you planning to invite? This is key because you may go from a seated party with a full course meal if you are having a smaller number, or you may choose to serve hors d’oeuvres and finger foods if you are planning for a larger crowd.
Something else that you should consider is the season. If it is warm outside, then why not barbecue and have fresh fruits and veggies? However, if it is cold, then something more appropriate would no doubt be appreciated by your guests. For example, what about a first course of soup and artisan bread?
