Independent Sales Agent Job
Unlike a regular sales rep, an independent sales agent is not a permanent employee with the company. Most of these sales agents work part-time, and it is rare for them to get a fixed salary. These sales agents work on a commission basis and get their commission when they make the sales. Since these are independent hirings, the employers will not have to provide any other benefits to the sales agent, such as employee insurance or paid leaves.
While an independent sales rep does not make a fixed earning, some of the top performers make more money than the sales rep sitting at a permanent desk. Independent sales staff also work on their schedule and are more motivated to make sales so they can make a commission. The incentive to earn more is one of the reasons some sales agents prefer to work independently.
