Embracing Global Development Goals For A Brighter World
The United Nations Global Development Goals speak to those areas within societies worldwide that must be considered in any growth, development, or economic strategy. There are 17 goals in total and each speaks to a specific part of life, including gender equality, no poverty, affordable and clean energy, and industry, innovation, and infrastructure, among others.
Unsurprisingly, these goals can be implemented at the level of national and local government through policy within nation-states. However, it is also true that policy at the micro-level and within the private sector can also go a long way. In fact, it is true, that the more these development goals are embraced and allowed to impact the way people live and work across communities and small businesses, the more they are likely to be realized across the countries of the world. Consequently, public education campaigns are recommended to increase awareness and worldwide embrace of these goals.
