Mold contains compounds such as mycotoxins and endotoxins that are particularly harmful to the bods and can result in lung irritation and illness, especially for people suffering from asthma or other lung conditions. Inhaling both these toxins can also cause inflammation and chronic exposure to these types of molds can aggravate auto-immune conditions and increase the risk of developing infections. In severe cases this can result in a person contracting pneumonia and the possibility the infection will spread to other parts of the body.
