Helping veterans transition to civilian life is a challenging task. There is no denying the there are not many venues to support the veterans. Since they have life and experience that revolves in army settings, they find themselves alienated when they return. According to the estimates, homelessness is one of the prevalent issues with veterans. There is a lack of financial and emotional support for the veterans.
Recently efforts are towards the rehabilitation of the veterans. The regional administrations are introducing new reforms to help the people coming back from active duty to get financial support in the form of secure loans. There are also affordable housing options available or veterans. Many new internship programs are available for the veteran that can later translate to the regular job. With all these changes, the aim is to provide the veteran the equal opportunities like other civilians to lead a good life.
