I have seen many problems when it comes to implementing a successful Action Plan for Diversity ( AP4D-diversifying the staff to complement an industrial or regional geographical sector to portray that area as per race or creed ), only because many companies mistake Diversity with Employment Equity ( EE-to force companies to employ the majority of the staff, as per the majority of the geographical race in that area)
The AP4D is quite simple if you take the confusion of EE out of the equation.
- This is usually based on the historical origins of certain groups of people, or races that live and work in a certain area where a business is based or operates from.
- Taking that into consideration, you either get involved in the actual training of all the different peoples in the area, so when it comes to hiring staff you can hire staff across the board bringing DIVERSITY to a company and or industry.
